What is an ISO9001 rating?
The ISO 9000 family addresses various aspects of quality management and contains some of ISO’s best-known standards. The standards provide guidance and tools for companies and organizations who want to ensure that their products and services consistently meet customer’s requirements, and that quality is consistently improved.
What is an IP68 Rating?
Ingress protection ratings can be identified by the letters IP, followed by two numbers. These numbers define the amount of protection a digital scale has against specified elements and its ability to resist foreign matter that could otherwise get inside the product and cause it to fail. The first number refers to the amount of protection a scale or indicator enclosure has against solid matter (such as dust particles), while the second number defines the level of protection against liquids. The larger each digit is, the greater the protection. IP68 Dust proof, protected from continuous immersion in water under more severe conditions than IP67
What is an IP69 rating?
Ingress protection ratings can be identified by the letters IP, followed by two numbers. These numbers define the amount of protection a digital scale has against specified elements and its ability to resist foreign matter that could otherwise get inside the product and cause it to fail. The first number refers to the amount of protection a scale or indicator enclosure has against solid matter (such as dust particles), while the second number defines the level of protection against liquids. The larger each digit is, the greater the protection. IP69K Dust proof, protected from water during high pressure/steam cleaning, so lights can be protected very well in severe environments.
What is an SAE rating?
SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) is a worldwide organization that sets automotive standards for the manufacturing, testing, and design of vehicle lighting. To be SAE approved, all headlights and tail lights must past certain standards, test procedures, and material test; set by SAE to guide the quality of the product.
What is an E-mark?
E / e-Mark is the European Common Market, for car and motorcycle spare parts and security products, noise and emissions, are required to act in accordance with the EU, EEC Directives and the Economic Commission for Europe Regulation ECE Regulation requirements through product meet the certification requirements, namely to grant a certificate to ensure traffic safety and environmental protection requirements.
What is CE?
CE certification refers to the requirements made by the European Union (EU) for the products they officially import into the EU nations. Literally it means "Conformité Européenne" or French for "European Conformity." The regulations are designed to protect members of the EU against products that might endanger their safety, pose a pollution hazard to public safety, interfere with electromagnetic devices or create other detrimental effects.
What is RoHS?
RoHS, short for Restriction of Hazardous Substances, is specific to the European Union. The law revolves around the handling of hazardous materials, ranging from the manufacturing to the disposal of the material. While created inside of Europe for members of the European Union, other regions around the world have utilized and created offshoots of the RoHS. This includes nations throughout Asia (China, Japan and South Korea) and versions of it inside of North America as well. Manufacturers of hazardous material must become RoHS compliant in order to sell and distribute the product inside of the European Union, which is exactly why it is so vital for a company to obtain these credentials. The specific process set in place to assist these companies is rather straight forward though, so it should not prove difficult to follow through with the RoHS certification and RoHS compliance regulations.
